You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more. For more information please visit NHS App and your NHS account – NHS (www.nhs.uk)

What the NHS App does

  • get advice about coronavirus – get information about coronavirus and find out what to do if you think you have it.
  • order repeat prescriptions – see your available medicines, request a new repeat prescription and choose a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to.
  • book appointments – search for, book and cancel appointments at your GP surgery, and see details of your upcoming and past appointments.
  • check your symptoms – search trusted NHS information and advice on hundreds of conditions and treatments, and get instant advice or medical help near you.
  • register your organ donation decision – choose to donate some or all of your organs and check your registered decision.
  • find out how the NHS uses your data – choose if data from your health records is shared for research and planning.
  • view parts of your GP record – including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results.

How do I register for online services?

  1. Visit – https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/
  2. Download the app on your smart phone device
  3. Create your account

The NHS App is available now on iOS and Android. To use it you must be aged 13 and over and registered with a GP surgery in England.

You can also access NHS App services from the browser on your desktop or laptop computer.

How to request enhanced access

If you have registered for online access and you would like to request further access to records please send any requests to [email protected] and these will be dealt with as soon as we can.

If you have any queries about your online access with regards to the information available to you, please put in writing through this email address and we will respond to your query as soon as possible. [email protected]

Information for Online Proxy Access age 11 to 15

Once a child reaches the age of 11, they are entitled to either give or withhold consent for parents/legal guardians to be able to access their online medical records.
