COVID-19 Booster Vaccine Information:
You will be invited to have your COVID-19 booster 6 months after the date of your second vaccination.
You will receive these invites either via text message to your mobile which will allow for you to book online or you will get a phone call from the surgery inviting you to book.
You do not need to contact the surgery to book these in unless you have had an invite.
Proof of COVID Vaccination record:
Here’s how you can get proof of your COVID19 vaccination. Download the NHS app now through mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. Proof of your vaccination will be shown within the app and gives you access to your medical record.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO CONTACT YOUR SURGERY TO ACCESS THIS APP.
All you need to do is download the app from the app store (Or by following this link) and input your details. It could take up to 7 days for your details to be verified.
If you do not have access to a smartphone and know that the country you are travelling to requires COVID-19 vaccination status, you can call 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you.
Request a letter only if you:
- have been fully vaccinated by the NHS in England (you should wait 5 working days after your second dose)
- are planning to travel in the next 4 weeks to a country that requires evidence of COVID vaccination
- cannot access the digital service via the NHS App
We expect the letter to take up to 7 working days to reach you.
The letter will be sent to the address registered with your GP. The 119 call handler you speak to will not be able to see your address to check this with you. If you have recently moved house, make sure you’ve given your new address to your GP practice before calling 119.
